ShoppingCart is a JavaFX application embedded in a fictitious web store called ‘Contest Shop’. Users can navigate through categories and add products to the shopping cart.  Traditional websites use text based shopping carts. The purpose of this applet is to make it look more real and user friendly so users can enjoy shopping their products. It can run as a stand alone application so users can look/search for products even if they are not in the website.

To test it click here NOTE: Sometimes the link may appear to be broken. This is because the application is hosted on a free service so the bandwidth is very limited. If it does not work just wait some minutes and try again.

Instruccions:
To use it in your own application just create an instance of TaskPane

var tp: TaskPane = TaskPane {
title: “My Tasks”
pane_width: 190
translateX: 50
translateY: 50
}

Then add nodes to it with the addTask method:

SwingLabel {

);

With the release of sdk 1.1 I had to change some of the code becuase it was sending me errors. But it is fixed now.

It uses HttpRequest to send and recive the data from a php file. I wanted to use Servlets but my hosting does not support that but you can implement your servlet. This is a very basic app that runs as an applet and you can bring it to the desktop by holding ALT key and dragging the applet.

I made this shoutbox to learn how to connect javafx to a database because I´m new to this technology, so I did it just to learn but you can use it for your own. Sorry about the colors but I have a bad taste for that.
